Reserve Items

Log Into Your Account

On our website, click on the My Account link in the upper right corner to log into your account.

If you have not logged into your account before, see Check Your Account for instructions.

Reserving Items

Search our catalogue for an item that you are interested in reserving. Displayed with the item information you can see the availability of the library’s copies. To reserve an item, click the Reserve button to the right of the item information. If the item is available, it will be set aside for you and you will be notified when it is ready for you to pick up. If all copies at your local library are already loaned out, you’ll be placed on a waiting list and will be notified when the item becomes available for you.

If you are not already logged into your account when trying to reserve an item, a small box will pop up for you to fill in your username, which is your library card number, and your password. For more information on logging into your account, see Check Your Account.

Items on Reserve

When you are logged into your account, you can view and manage your current reserves by selecting the My Account tab and navigating through the menu to My Borrowing and then to Reserves. Here you will find a list of your reserves and the item information for each, such as title, author, and call number, as well as the current status and your order on the waiting list. If an item displays a Date Available, this indicates that the item is available and when it became available. You may cancel a hold from this page by clicking the blue Cancel button to the right of the item information.

Picking Up Reserves

Once library staff have processed your reserve requests and the items are ready for you to pick up, we will notify you with an email or phone call. If you wish to book an appointment for curbside pick up of your reserves, please call the library once you have received the notification. Otherwise, your reserves will be available for pick up at the circulation desk during our public opening hours, as listed on our website, until your reserve expires. Make sure to bring your library card when picking up any reserves.
