Jake Epp Library is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for all people, regardless of their abilities. We are committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in inclusion. We are committed to meeting the needs of people who face accessibility barriers by identifying, removing and preventing these barriers by meeting requirements of The Accessibility for Manitobans Act.
Jake Epp Library seeks to:
- identify barriers to accessible customer service in relation to the goods and services it provides;
- remove existing barriers so that persons with disabilities can reasonably obtain, use or benefit from the goods or services the organization provides;
- ensure that persons with disabilities are provided access to the goods or services by alternate means if an existing barrier cannot be removed;
- ensure that a fee or charge that relates to accommodating a person with a disability is only imposed if the organization cannot reasonably accommodate the person otherwise.
