Join us for an evening of discussion and refreshments with local author, Anna Maynard. Ms. Maynard will be speaking on her book, My Every Breath, which opens up about her childhood and her life long struggle with cystic fibrosis.
Synopsis: My Every Breath is a remarkable memoir of endurance; the compelling story of Anna Maynard’s lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis and her astonishing resilience despite a double lung transplant and a senseless murder.
Anna was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when she was six months old, at a time when average life expectancy for children afflicted with the genetic disorder was only fourteen years. Throughout her tumultuous childhood, Anna fought for a life of normalcy and despite the death of her older sister, France—who succumbed to the same disease—Anna pursued her dream to live a long, productive life with courage, determination and hope.
Co-author Karen Emilson is the author of the award-winning novel, Be Still the Water and the bestselling books, Where Children Run and When Memories Remain.
